             Obsessive-compulsive disorder is a type of pathological personality marked by rigidity, control, perfectionism and obsession with work, to the detriment of interpersonal relationships. The treatment for OCD is usually psychotherapy, but also used is medicine or combination of psychotherapy and medicine.

A type of psychotherapy that is used to treat OCD is cognitive behavior therapy. This type of treatment helps people to change the way of thinking, behavior, helping people that eliminate or at least reduce unwanted thoughts or the compulsively actions.

Most often, in medicine treatment doctors give to patients that suffer from OCD anti-anxiety medications or antidepressants. This kind of treatment depends on the doctor examine and the severity of the sickness. Some treatments start working right away, but some treatments take long periods of time to sow effects.
